Many of you came to know me and my work with the Zed Run community through my blogs and also the support of new players coming into the game. For me, the ability to help new players come onto the platform is most important, as this would in turn grow the game and benefit everyone in the process.
It is a fun game. Personally, I enjoyed it a lot and I’ve finally fulfilled my dream of owning a racehorse. Well, at least virtually.
I cannot do all this myself, and I need a passionate team of talented individuals to help…
In a fun and unplanned fashion, I entered a horse into a race that pits me against my good friend, MJ Stables!
There we have it, it’s Ghost Town vs. Wins By The Moment! And with Know Your Horses’ shiny new tool which is based on what I’ve written about in my previous articles on speed and deviation, I decide to take it out for a spin, and see if indeed it can predict a winner between these 2!
As with my recent announcement, I just joined No Stable No Fun as their “Stable Master”! A super cool job and an amazing pool of resources at my disposal to play the game! One of the first thing I wanted to look at is how you could actually work with “bad” horses, so I decided to do a little experiment of my own!
With breeding turned on followed by the Million Dollar Drop, we’ve seen an enormous amount of horses hitting the tracks. …
First of all, I wanted to give a shout-out to all you ZedHeads out there. I started the journey with Zed Run 27 days (and 2 hours ago) on May-17–2021 03:53:02 AM +UTC when I bought my first horse, One Big Surprise.
It was indeed “One Big Surprise” that it turned out to be one of Jeeve’s stolen horses, and in navigating the return of the horse with the help of Know Your Horses, I got to know a lot of you passionate stable owners, racers, breeders and fans of the game!
I’ve grown to appreciate the data science behind…
Edit: Update/ Announcement for the Giveaway: We are ALL SET. I will be doing the draw tomorrow 13 Jul Tuesday 10 pm Eastern time/ 14 Jul Wednesday 10 am Singapore time, 12noon AEST
Finally, we’ve got the horses back from breeding. This wasn’t the one that I originally intended, but I wanted to still go ahead with the giveaway so let’s get this going and get the horse to a new stable!
Originally, I wanted to breed a lower Z stud into my Z10 Buterin mare, for a Z10x foal, but that Mare got…
Over the last month of playing the game, I was fortunate to have met a lot of very nice people. Folks that’s been part of the game for much longer than I have. There are also folks whom I’ve met that play the game for different reasons, and quite honestly, it’s really what you want out of the game.
Why do you want to be on Zed Run? What do you want to do?
I thought I wanted to do an article on the “why” and the “what” of the game. Moving away from the “how” to play the game…
It’s been about a week since we’ve got breeding opened, and I have to say that it was indeed the most intense week of my Zed Run journey! I started in May 2021, and not having experienced breeding, I can only look at what was bred before, and translating what I’ve learned in real life to interpret what’s going on in the game! The result of that? I guess I did ok.
I took a break last week to observe and reflect on my experience. …
Having written quite a bit about donkeys, speed, and how the strong horses are dominating the track, this tournament is something that I am feeling very excited about. Looking at the signups (as I was talking to the organizer), we currently have 31 horses. Yes, I put my horse into the mix too, and I am rather smug about it!
How can I not be? The scoring system literally counterbalanced the effect of the U-shaped curve.
Following up on my previous article where we look at horses with the best profits, I wanted to use the same technique to evaluate horses with negative profits.
This is a super tense article for me to write, and this is why.
